Fabric Guide

Maharishi’s latest collection continues the commitment to cultural reverance and technical innovation. This is reflected in the fabric selection of the latest collection, THE HIGHEST PLACE.

House staple choices like organic cotton, sustainable hemp, and vintage military surplus are joined by performance-focused materials, reflecting the collection’s balance of tradition and function, and serving as canvases for new seasonal artworks and embroideries.

New additons include a Brisith-made wool-tweed, a water-repellent Cordura 2-Way Stretch Ripstop and heavyweight textured woven cotton waffle in black and olive.

Organic Cotton

450gsm Sweat · 100% Cotton
190gsm Jersey · 100% Cotton

Non organic cotton covers 2.5% of the world’s cultivated land but uses nearly of the world’s pesticides (including herbicides, insecticides, and defoliants), more than any other single major crop. Organic production in cotton farming is utilised to avoid this damaging practice and to promote and enhance biodiversity and biological cycles.

The perennial use of organic cotton aims to raise awareness and contribute to the reduced use of pesticides in the production of clothing materials. Every Maharishi collection utilises sweat and jersey grown without toxic pesticides or synthetic fertilisers.

Heavy Woven Cotton Waffle

Heavyweight pure cotton, woven into a waffle texture. A loose and textured weave allows for superior breathability and moisture-wicking capabilities whilst retaining a soft and tactile finish.

British Wool Check

As one of the last remaining vertical woollen mills in England, Moon have supplied fabric for the British Red Coats and Royal Air Force since 1837. The natural springs underneath their Guiseley site continue to provide ideally soft water for the scouring process, underlining the purity of the product.
