Richard Russell’s Everything Is Recorded isn’t a band — rather a creative collective based upon a shared love for music. Born in the studio and built on collaboration, it brings together voices from across the spectrum, returning with the latest release ‘Wear and Tear’, featuring Sampha, Florence Welch, Danielle Ponder, Jah Wobble, and Morgan Simpson.

Working on a concept of music without borders — soulful, raw, spacious — Everything Is Recorded steps out of the studio and onto the Main Stage at We Out Here festival 2025 for a live performance. Expect stripped-back arrangements, spontaneous moments, and a powerful sense of connection between artists and audience.

For Russell, it’s always been about removing ego, making space, and letting the music lead. At a festival built on community, creativity, and collaboration, this set serves as a musical dialogue and celebration of sound.

Richard Russell is a British record producer, musician, and the founder of XL Recordings. He began his career as part of the rave duo Kicks Like a Mule, known for the 1992 hit “The Bouncer.” Under his leadership, XL evolved into one of the most influential independent labels, launching artists like Adele, The Prodigy, and The xx. As a producer, he’s known for his work with Gil Scott-Heron (I’m New Here), Bobby Womack (The Bravest Man in the Universe), Damon Albarn (Everyday Robots), and Peter Gabriel. Since 2017, he’s released experimental, collaborative music under Everything Is Recorded, blending soul, hip-hop, and electronic styles.
