The fourth instalment of Maharishi x Reebok’s partnership could not express the Maharishi brand ethos more: taking a pacifist approach to military-grade utilitarian design, representing camouflage as a symbol of nature and art, and respecting nature whilst utilising technology.
For the trail inspired Zig Kinetica 2.5 (a modern evolution of Reebok’s iconic 2010 ZigTech), Maharishi have reproduced an historic 'Golden Tiger’ camouflage variant adopted by the U.S. military in the 1960s, originally inspired by French Lizard camo:
The Tiger pattern is not used in an effort to make the shoe invisible, but rather as a celebration of camouflage’s roots in nature and its development by artists over time, This, contrasted with high-vis orange details, black patent leather, a strong sole really toughens up the shoe.
Beneath the vibrant “Tiger” print emblazoned across the shoe’s upper, Zig Kinetica 2.5 Edge comes packed with a 30% recycled Vibram Ecostep anti-slip lugged outsole for all-terrain grip on trail or street, as well as Floatride cushioning for enhanced comfort underfoot.
Available Friday 17th February, exclusively at Maharishi. 11AM BST online.
